The African Engineering Education Fellows in Diaspora Group consists of Diasporan Africans pursuing advanced degrees in engineering education or actively practicing within academia as graduate, research, or teaching assistants, post-docs, or professors with a specific interest or focus in engineering education or a broad discourse in engineering.
The group started in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic as an informal gathering of Ph.D. students and quickly grew to over 40 members with shared experiences and a passionate desire to change the engineering education landscape within Sub-Saharan Africa.
We recognize the value of sharing cultural, educational, and social capital in furthering our advancement of African engineering education and happily welcome the contributions of anyone who shares our values.
